Nastasia, then assistant product manager for France, and Oriane, product manager for Europe, took advantage of a work stay in Corfu to discover the island’s north by electric bike. They recount a simple and generous day, punctuated by villages, olive groves, a tavern lunch and a swim in Ipsos Bay.

A hilly island to explore by electric bike
Corfu is located in the Ionian Sea, west of continental Greece and facing the Albanian coast. Its landscape alternates between coastline, hills covered in olive groves and steeper slopes in the north. For this day, we drew inspiration from our stay Corfu island by bike, then chose electric-assisted bikes suited to the hilly terrain.

Our route descends the slopes of Mount Pantokrator towards Ipsos Bay. Electric assistance doesn’t eliminate the effort, but it helps us maintain a common pace and enjoy our stops.
From olive groves to views over the Ionian Sea
Throughout the day, we pass through small villages and vast olive groves. Views open onto bays, the Diapontic Islands and, in clear weather, the Albanian landscape.

A tavern break in Episkepsi
In Episkepsi, we stop at a tavern to share several dishes: pita bread, tzatziki, Greek salad and watermelon grown on the island. Baklava will have to wait for another time – we still need to get back on the bikes.

The day ends with a swim in Ipsos Bay. We covered only part of northern Corfu, which leaves many reasons to return. To plan a complete trip, the stay sheet details the stages, difficulty level and included services.
