South-West France is a land of contrasts and diversity. You can cycle along the endless beaches of the Atlantic Coast, hike the trails of the Pyrenees, wander through prestigious vineyards or explore the bastide villages of Périgord. It is a region that beautifully combines preserved nature, exceptional historical heritage and generous gastronomy. Choosing South-West France means opting for an experience rich in flavours and discoveries.
South-West France is equally suited to discoveries on foot and cycling getaways, with itineraries adapted to all levels.
The region is a true paradise for cyclists. Follow, for example, the Vélodyssée along the Atlantic coast for a sea-air immersion, or let yourself be carried away by the tranquillity of the Garonne Canal, linking Bordeaux to Toulouse. For lovers of heritage and fine wines, our circuits through the Bordeaux vineyards or the landscapes of the Black Périgord offer a complete experience. Discover all our cycling circuits in Aquitaine or more broadly our cycling trips in France to find the itinerary that suits you.
For walkers, the region offers emblematic trails. The most famous is undoubtedly the GR10, which begins its incredible crossing of the #Pyrenees at Hendaye, in the heart of the Basque Country. We invite you to walk its first stages, between ocean and mountain, discovering a unique culture and landscapes. For a different atmosphere, the paths that cross the vineyards around Bordeaux allow you to combine hiking and wine tasting. Finally, discover the famous Way of St. James.

The principle is simple: we take care of all the logistics (accommodation reservations, baggage transport, provision of a detailed travel guide), and you fully enjoy your day at your own pace. It is the ideal formula to savour each moment in complete autonomy, whilst benefiting from the security of a flawless organisation. Discover all our freedom trips for more inspiration. For those who prefer to share the experience, we also offer group trips, such as our Nordic walking stay on the Arcachon Basin.
South-West France is a particularly suitable destination for families. The many secure green routes, such as the paths along the Midi Canal, are perfect for cycling rides accessible to all ages. It is an excellent way to share active moments and create shared memories. Do not hesitate to consult our selection of family nature holidays.
Spring and autumn are ideal seasons to discover South-West France. Temperatures are mild, nature is colourful and tourist numbers are more moderate. Summer is perfect for enjoying the Atlantic coast, although the heat can be more intense inland, especially in the afternoon.

— The Roger Lapébie and Canal de la Garonne trails are asphalted and of good quality, with correct signage.

— A very nice bike ride, with a change of scenery and a taste of the sea. Topo guide needs a thorough overhaul (relevance, accuracy and layout of information, updating). Hotels of varying quality, but very pleasant in Ronce Les Bains. Well-adapted bikes. Rochefort-Oléron stage the most difficult.

— A fine cycling route on a protected, almost continuous site, a great way to discover the Atlantic coast.
