For your first trekking experience in France, a short trip of 4 to 5 days is ideal. Our collections, such as easy treks in the Alps, are designed for beginners. To help you choose the route that suits you best, we have grouped our hikes by difficulty level.
You can start with a Level 1 Trek: Easy, perfect for a gentle introduction. If you already have a little experience, a Level 2 Trek: Moderate offers a manageable challenge. For those who hike more regularly, a Level 3 Trek: Intermediate offers more demanding routes.
Seasoned trekkers looking to push themselves can opt for a Level 4 Trek: Strenuous to Difficult, while the most experienced and adventurous will find what they are looking for with a Level 5 Trek: Challenging.
If you are travelling with children, take a look at our collection of family treks, with routes suitable for all ages. And for those who prefer a different approach, our selection of cycle touring holidays in France is an excellent alternative to warm up before heading out on the trails.

— a stay rich in botanical discoveries (thanks to our guide's knowledge)…once again, we saw at first hand the damage that over-visiting a site can cause, but we also noted with interest the efforts made to protect the environment and regenerate it… beautiful viewpoints

— A great itinerary with some very interesting and accessible hikes. I don't regret my choice.
