The principle of a single-centre holiday is simple: you stay in the same accommodation throughout your trip. No more hassle packing and unpacking your bags every morning. You can settle in comfortably and make yourself at home, turning your hotel or holiday cottage into a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring.
Staying in one place lets you soak up the local atmosphere and explore a region in depth. Each day, a new circular route takes you to different landscapes, villages or places of interest. This approach offers an ideal balance between exploring different places and having the freedom to take your time, or even enjoy a rest day if you feel like it.
With our self-guided holidays, we arrange all the logistics in advance: booking your accommodation and providing a comprehensive travel pack (maps, GPS tracks and route descriptions). You then set off to explore independently at your own pace, with the peace of mind that comes from following a route prepared by our experts.
If you enjoy travelling with others and want to benefit from a guide’s knowledge, our group holidays are for you. Your guide, a specialist in the destination, takes care of the route and enriches your days with insights into the local wildlife, plants and heritage. It’s an ideal way to connect with others and share an experience safely.
Most of our single-centre holidays focus on walking. From your accommodation, you can access a network of varied trails suited to different ability levels. It’s the perfect way to explore the mountain ranges of the Alps, coastal paths or the volcanic landscapes of the Canary Islands.

The single-centre approach also works very well for cycling holidays. Each day, a new circular route lets you discover the surrounding area without having to carry your luggage. It’s an excellent way to explore a region such as Austria’s Tyrol or France’s country roads.
To combine activity with relaxation, some of our holidays bring together walking and time to unwind. Discover our walking holidays with seawater or spa treatments. In winter, the same approach applies to our snowshoeing or Nordic ski touring holidays, setting out from a cosy base.
Single-centre holidays are available all year round. For mild temperatures and beautiful colours, walking holidays in May and September are often popular choices. For those seeking the magic of snow-covered landscapes, a single-centre winter trek offers a unique experience, particularly in Lapland.
When choosing, consider the fitness level required, the main activity (walking or cycling) and the types of landscape you would like to explore. Whether you’re drawn to wide-open spaces in Europe or France’s mountain ranges, each holiday has its own character. If you’re unsure, our team is here to guide you. Feel free to contact us for personalised advice.
The single-centre approach is particularly well suited to family nature holidays. It avoids the tiredness of travelling between places every day and provides a reassuring setting for children. Routes are often flexible, allowing you to adapt the length and difficulty of each day’s outing to everyone’s energy levels. It’s an ideal way to introduce younger children to the joys of family walking or family cycling outings.

— Beautiful Hikes The scenery is beautiful, and the trails are well-maintained. Some of the hikes are a bit more challenging than you’d expect for a Level 2 hike. Very pleasant accommodations: the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The meals are varied, and we really enjoyed the pool.

— A wonderful trip that met all our expectations: hikes of moderate difficulty, with breathtaking views, and above all, a guide who was very attentive to our group of 15 people. Laurent was able to accommodate our varying skill levels and took great care of all of us—and on top of that, he prepared excellent picnics for us! A wonderful week of hiking in a fantastic setting!
