Landscapes that speak to the heart as much as the eyes, a sovereign ocean that seems to carry the emerald isle like a crown, warm-hearted people who seem to open their doors to you at every encounter, behold Ireland.
Thanks to the variety of its travel offerings, Grand Angle presents you with an almost exhaustive discovery of the great Irish sites.
Setting sail west for guided hikes that go to meet the mythical Aran Islands, inhabited since the Bronze Age, as evidenced by the remains of extraordinary forts perched on the waters. These limestone plateaus are the geological extension of the Burren hills, with their exuberant flora.
Further north, the city of Galway opens the doors to Connemara for us, closest to the Irish soul. This land of granite and green mountains contrasts with the far north of Ireland where the prisms of cooled lava of the Giant’s Causeway testify to an ancient volcanic past.
Connemara, you can choose to travel by bike on the small peaceful roads that connect charming localities – Clifden, Westport, Cong – with the promise of a pint of stout and lively discussions in a pub at each stop. A wonderful atmosphere that you’ll find again further south in the Kerry region where you’ll also enjoy hiking on foot.
Several self-guided stays allow you to discover up close the Ring of Kerry or the Dingle Peninsula, traditional havens of hiking in Ireland.

— A nice rural hike with an interesting atmosphere—sometimes familiar, sometimes exotic—and not too difficult. Hotels and B&Bs: Shillelagh Central House is rustic, but the friendly, helpful, and cheerful owners make up for everything; Glenmalure Lodge is magnificent, comfortable, and offers gourmet dining; Glendalough Hotel is overrated, soulless, and serves very low-quality meals. The only downside was GA’s lack of responsiveness during trip planning: documents arrived very late, no GPX tracks or GPS app available, and several follow-ups were needed for transfers… A bit unpleasant, even though everything turned out perfectly once we were there. Poor communication between GA and its local agent?
Thank you for your detailed feedback.
We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay.
Regarding the trip planning, we apologize for our lack of responsiveness and the delays in sending the documents. This was a new product, customized as a semi-guided tour at your request, and our local service provider does not yet systematically provide GPX tracks or an app for this type of route, which is generally well-marked in Ireland. We will take the necessary steps to obtain the routes for future versions.
Best regards,
The Grand Angle Team
