The Pink Granite Coast is much more than a geological curiosity. It is an invitation to slow down and observe the patient work of erosion, which has shaped rocks into almost lifelike forms. Exploring this part of Brittany means enjoying views that change with the tides, discovering traditional fishing ports such as Ploumanac’h, and following the famous Customs Officers' Path (GR34). The mix of wild coastlines, sheltered beaches and lush countryside makes it an ideal setting for both walking and cycling.
There are different ways to discover the Breton coast, depending on your preferred pace and interests.
Our walking holidays take you along coastal trails, within reach of the sea spray. Travelling on foot lets you fully absorb the atmosphere, from the scent of gorse to the sound of waves crashing against the granite. It is the ideal choice for those who enjoy taking in their surroundings and love walking.
Filter all our walking holidays on the Pink Granite Coast or broaden your search to walking holidays in Brittany, either self-guided or with a group.
For those who want to cover more ground while maintaining a close connection with the landscape, an organised cycling holiday is a perfect option. You follow safe routes such as the Vélomaritime, which link iconic sights and let you venture inland to discover chapels and villages full of character.
At Grand Angle, we know that adventure means something different to everyone. That is why we offer two approaches to suit your expectations.
Choosing a guided holiday means choosing peace of mind. A guide with expert knowledge of the region accompanies you, sharing insights into the wildlife, plants and local heritage while taking care of the practical arrangements. All you need to do is go with the flow and enjoy the company of the group.
Our self-guided holidays are the answer for independent walkers and cyclists. We arrange all the logistics in advance, including accommodation bookings and luggage transfers. You set off with detailed route notes and follow the itinerary at your own pace, with complete flexibility.
The best time to discover the Pink Granite Coast runs from spring to autumn. May, June and September are particularly pleasant, with beautiful light, abundant flowers and fewer visitors than in the height of summer. It is an ideal destination if you are looking for places to visit in France in spring to recharge your batteries.
The Breton coast is an excellent destination for family holidays in nature. The trails along the Pink Granite Coast are often accessible and fun, with rock formations that spark the imagination of children and adults alike. For cycling, greenways let you ride safely, offering a wonderful adventure to share across generations.
Travellers who enjoy the coastal trails of the Pink Granite Coast often feel equally at home among the landscapes of Normandy, particularly along the cliffs of the GR21. If you love walking by the sea, exploring the Gulf of Morbihan offers a different perspective, between land and sea. For those who enjoy more rugged coastlines and a Mediterranean atmosphere, a trek in the Calanques or in Greece could be your next adventure.

— What a wonderful trip along the Pink Granite Coast. A varied itinerary that allowed us to discover the diversity and richness of the GR34 every day, led by a passionate guide who was eager to share the rich history and culture of Brittany—enriched by his work as a stonemason the rest of the year. The hotels were very comfortable, allowing us to relax after returning from our hikes. I’ll be back on my own to see these landscapes again—this time at high tide.
