Trekking poles (telescopic), very important for ease of walking

The Lek. 1 euro = approximately 100 Lek (February 2025)

You will only need money for meals and drinks. A typical dinner costs between 5 and 10 € and a carafe of house red wine between 3 and 7 €. Coffee costs 0,50 € and beer 1 €. Although ATMs are common in most cities and villages, it can sometimes be difficult to find one. The most difficult thing is trying to pay with a credit card. The easiest payment method remains cash; due to the prices in Albania, you won’t need much.
