Savoie offers many natural and cultural attractions that make it an ideal destination for hikers and cycling enthusiasts. Its peaks and valleys offer countless opportunities for hiking, from gentle routes to challenging trails such as the famous Tour du Mont Blanc. Nature reigns here, with high-altitude lakes, lush forests and alpine pastures dominating the landscape. This mountain range also features legendary mountain passes, adding exceptional views to cycling routes. Well-marked trails, such as the GR5, offer breathtaking views of the mountain cirque, waterfalls and wildlife. Those who enjoy bivouacking will find plenty of mountain huts for nights in the heart of the mountains, while the varied routes cater to all ability levels. Visiting in autumn also lets you admire the landscapes in a different light, particularly around the cirques and paths at mid-altitude.

—  This was one of the best trips of my life!! Physically, the hiking was challenging, but doable, which was what my party was looking for. Every minute of the day, the views were SPECTACULAR!!! Literally breathtaking. Our guide took great care of us and we LOVED our 3 course meals every night in the different, fascinating cities. We also met so many fun and friendly people on the Tour. Loved it all❤️

—  Scenery was out of this world. The ascents were hard but it meant you could stop and take it all in, take your time and appreciate just what you are achieving.
