A multi-base holiday combines stays in several places within a single itinerary. You generally spend a few nights at each stop before moving on to the next: long enough to explore the surrounding area while still enjoying the sense of making your way through a region.

This format suits travellers who enjoy discovering several areas without changing accommodation every evening. Depending on the itinerary, you spend your days walking or cycling from one base, then take a transfer to the next. The number of nights at each stop, luggage transport and included transfers are specified on each holiday page.

Jared 8/13/26
— Deviously difficult mountain hikes and climbs, so be prepared and be in shape. Utterly thrilling with majestic views. Warm accommodations and great meals.
Jean-François 8/15/26
— The organization was excellent, and we received a very warm welcome at the hotels. The route is beautiful, but it lacks challenge and mountain biking sections.

Jean-Michel 6/23/26 • Hiking in Greece: Self-guided trip in the Cyclades
— These are some really beautiful hikes, but June 10–19 is a little too late in the season because of the heat. For most of the hikes, it’s impossible to set out early due to bus schedules and breakfast times at the hotels.
Dominique 7/29/26 • Dolomites of Cortina Guided
— A wonderful trip that met all our expectations: hikes of moderate difficulty, with breathtaking views, and above all, a guide who was very attentive to our group of 15 people. Laurent was able to accommodate our varying skill levels and took great care of all of us—and on top of that, he prepared excellent picnics for us! A wonderful week of hiking in a fantastic setting!
