A specialist in cycling holidays, Grand Angle invites you to discover the most beautiful landscapes between Granada and Córdoba by bike. This region of southern Spain is home to two former royal capitals whose influence reached across the entire Mediterranean.

Granada, once the seat of power of the Nasrid sultans, welcomes you with its exquisite architectural heritage and the gardens of the Alhambra. You will continue towards Córdoba through hilltop white villages, ancient olive groves and the rolling landscapes of inland Andalusia. Between these two cities, greenways and quiet country roads form a route that builds gradually, suited to self-guided adventure cycling.

Each stage invites you to discover local hospitality, Mediterranean cuisine and the architectural heritage of villages full of character. This holiday in Andalusia combines cultural exploration with immersion in the landscapes of the hinterland, away from conventional tourist routes.

A number of our trips offer opportunities to swim, either during a day’s route or at the end of the day. It would be a shame to miss out. However, we emphasise that you alone must decide whether it is appropriate to swim; any swimming is therefore your responsibility and undertaken at your own risk.

Member of Agir pour un Tourisme Responsable (ATR)

Since 2012, Grand Angle has been a member of ATR, the leading association for more responsible tourism. We design our trips – on foot, by bike and on snow – to invite everyone to discover the world differently: with curiosity, respect and kindness.

As members of the board of directors since 2018, we actively help guide the sector towards more meaningful practices. In practical terms, we focus on:

  • Transparency in our practices and prices
  • Respect for our partners and local communities
  • Protecting the environment on every trip

We also share the values of the Traveller’s Ethical Charter, which encourages everyone to take simple steps to protect the places they visit and make meaningful connections with others.

Travelife Partner

Since 2025, Grand Angle has held Travelife Partner status, an international label that certifies our responsible practices in environmental protection, ethics and sustainable management, both within our company and in our work with partners and the organisation of our trips.

This label, the second level of a rigorous international certification scheme, recognises our practical efforts to support responsible tourism. We are actively working towards the next level, Travelife Certified, in line with our sustainability policy

For cycling

  • Cycling shorts or tights, depending on the season
  • Cycling gloves
  • A helmet (compulsory)
  • Sunglasses (to protect against sun, wind and small flies)
  • A windproof jacket
  • T-shirts or cycling jerseys
  • A handlebar map holder
  • A bottle cage and water bottle
  • A handlebar smartphone mount and a power bank
  • Rear panniers to carry your belongings for the day and a bike lock; alternatively, a backpack with a small handlebar bag

Note: synthetic technical clothing performs very well. New merino wool clothing is also available; it performs very well, is comfortable to wear and has the advantage of resisting sweat odours (brands include Icebreaker, Ruka, etc.)!
As a general rule, avoid cotton, which makes you cold when wet.

Protection from sun and rain

  • Sunscreen and sunglasses
  • A hat, cap or bucket hat (helmet)
  • A windproof jacket
  • A rain poncho or a “Gore-Tex” jacket

After your ride

  • A jumper or fleece
  • Comfortable trousers for walking
  • A pair of shorts
  • A tracksuit or a change of clothes
  • A lightweight, long-sleeved cotton shirt
  • A pair of running-style trainers for the evening
  • Spare clothes and underwear
  • Swimwear
  • A toiletry bag
  • A small first-aid kit: personal medication, adhesive medical tape, Bio-Gaze or “2nd skin” dressings, gauze, disinfectant, arnica granules and aspirin for minor aches and injuries…
  • If your bike does not have a pannier, bring a comfortable small 40-litre backpack with a waist belt to carry your personal belongings and picnic lunch during the day. If you have a luggage rack, you can secure your bag to it with bungee cords. Rental bikes come with a pannier in which you can put your belongings. Bring a small backpack anyway; this makes it easy to carry your belongings when you stop to visit somewhere along the way
  • Luggage for transfer: a backpack or travel bag in good condition

There is no time difference between Spain and France.

Known for its beautiful sunny coastline, Andalusia has plenty to offer visitors throughout the year. Each season is a good time to visit a particular region or place.
The best time to visit Andalusia therefore depends entirely on the traveller’s availability and expectations. For beaches and seaside entertainment, April to October is the best period. However, July and August are the busiest months, as both Spanish and international holidaymakers flock to the beaches.
For a trip inland, spring is undoubtedly the best time. Here too, avoid the week before Easter and the Feria de Abril if you would like to explore in peace. Autumn gives visitors the chance to discover all of Andalusia, away from the bustle of the festivals and summer holidaymakers.
Winter can be a good compromise for exploring Andalusia in peace; there are few tourists and the weather is pleasantly mild.

Sylvie 7/29/26

—  It was a great trip, but it's a shame we spent so little time in Granada...

Martine 6/23/26

—  Andalusia is a wonderful destination. We’re delighted with this trip, which allowed us to discover exceptional places, culture, and people. The advantage of traveling with Grand Angle is having a tailor-made itinerary and the ability to resolve any hiccups thanks to their local contacts.

Danièle 6/23/26

—  It was a wonderful trip, but unfortunately there were too many stretches of gravel road, which made the journey take longer. Since we often arrived late, we weren't able to visit the city where we were staying.

Thank you for your feedback, which is invaluable to us in improving our tours. This trip from Seville to Granada, custom-designed for your group, took place under unusual circumstances following severe weather that significantly damaged certain trails in Andalusia. Despite the adjustments we made to your itinerary in advance to minimize these sections, this made the stages more challenging, and we are sincerely sorry for that. By way of comparison, our standard program from Córdoba to Granada typically features more balanced daily stages (between 25 km and 50 km), allowing you to fully enjoy the sightseeing at the end of the day.
