#The Balearic archipelago offers a remarkable variety of landscapes within a compact area, making it ideal for walking. The Serra de Tramuntana in Mallorca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stretches its limestone peaks above the sea, while Menorca reveals a wild coastline dotted with historic watchtowers. These islands combine thousands of years of cultural heritage, traditional dry-stone architecture and unique Mediterranean biodiversity. The favourable climate makes walking possible for much of the year, with mild temperatures even in winter.
Our self-guided holidays let you explore the Balearic trails at your own pace. You receive a detailed route guide with topographic maps, precise descriptions of each stage and local tips from our experts. Your accommodation is booked and your luggage transferred, leaving you completely free to savour every moment on the trail. This option is ideal for independent walkers wishing to discover Mallorca’s hidden gems on their own terms.
Our group holidays focus on shared experiences and knowledge. Accompanied by our enthusiastic local guides, you discover the history, geology and traditions of the Balearic Islands. Small groups (6 to 14 people) create a friendly atmosphere and allow access to lesser-known trails.
The largest Balearic island offers a remarkable range of walks. #Exploring Mallorca means discovering its contrasts: the peaks of the Tramuntana rising to more than 1 400 metres, the wild coastline of the Formentor peninsula, and authentic villages such as Deià and Valldemossa. The GR 221 and GR 222 long-distance trails cross the island from west to east, revealing medieval castles, terraces of ancient olive trees and panoramic views of the Mediterranean.
A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Menorca charms visitors with its wild, authentic character. The island reveals exceptional prehistoric heritage through its megalithic monuments, a coastline indented with unspoilt coves, and a pastoral hinterland dotted with dry-stone walls. The Camí de Cavalls, a former military patrol route, circles the island over 185 km and offers coastal walks of striking beauty.
Spring (March to June) is the ideal time: flowers in bloom, pleasant temperatures and fewer visitors. Autumn (September to November) offers similar conditions, with the added benefit of a sea that is still warm. Walking remains possible in winter thanks to the Mediterranean climate, particularly appreciated by walkers escaping harsher weather on the mainland.
Treks in the Balearic Islands suit walkers of different abilities. Elevation gains remain moderate (rarely more than 800 metres), although some rocky sections require particular care. A reasonable level of fitness is enough to enjoy these Mediterranean walks to the full. Our teams advise you according to your experience and expectations.
The Balearic Islands offer an exceptional setting for family walking holidays. Coastal trails combine walking with swimming in idyllic coves, keeping children and adults alike engaged. Our family itineraries favour short stages with varied points of interest: natural caves, traditional villages and opportunities to spot Mediterranean wildlife. The selected accommodation gives families a warm welcome, ensuring comfort and peace of mind for enjoyable family holidays in nature.
Travellers who have enjoyed the atmosphere of the Balearic Islands are often drawn to other Mediterranean islands with a distinctive character. The wild beauty of Corsica, the coastal trails of Sardinia or the authenticity of the Cyclades could provide inspiration for your next trip. If you would like a change of pace, the Balearic Islands are also wonderfully suited to exploring on two wheels; explore our cycling holidays in the Balearic Islands for another way to discover these fascinating islands.
Evelyne 7/6/26 • Balearic Islands: Menorca
— A magnificent hike, very varied. The on-site agent (Javi) was very competent and friendly, and taught us a lot about Menorca, its history, its wildlife, its flora and its birds, and orchestrated our stay perfectly. A hike best done in spring or autumn.

Christine 10/19/26 • Balearic Islands: Menorca
— A magnificent island; the agency did a great job organizing the trek; the hotels were comfortable and pleasant after a day of hiking; the driver was super friendly, always smiling, and very knowledgeable about the routes and sights. It was an amazing experience—I’d do it all over again tomorrow and would recommend it without reservation.
Brigitte 7/31/26
— A wide variety of landscapes, from mountains to the sea, with no difficulty.
